As Head of SME, you’ll lead the charge in shaping and growing the SME health insurance market – ensuring we deliver exceptional value and care to our clients. You’ll be at the forefront of driving strategy, innovation, and performance
Key Responsibilities
* Own and deliver the growth strategy for SME, full P&L accountability.
* Lead and inspire the account management team, and provide matrix leadership to Segment Managers across the UK & Africa.
* Collaborate with pricing, marketing, and proposition teams to shape compelling offers and campaigns.
* Drive new business and renewals through proactive pipeline and relationship management.
* Represent your segment in strategic forums, contributing to the wider Distribution strategy and Sales Centre of Excellence.
* Coach and develop sales talent, ensuring high performance and compliance.
* Build strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, internally and externally.
* Champion a culture of integrity, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
* Insurance sector - proven experience in sales leadership
* Track record of winning new business
* Profit & Loss management for large corporate accounts
* Commercially astute with deep understanding of pricing, risk, and contract negotiation.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to lead change and deliver results.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
* A consultative approach to problem-solving and client engagement.
* Committed to delivering fair outcomes and meeting regulatory standards.
