Collins Aerospace is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join our proactive and close-knit equipment engineering team at the Plymouth site. The team provides front-line support, ensuring equipment maintenance, calibration, and breakdown support across various technologies, including manual, automated, off-the-shelf, and custom electro-mechanical equipment, environmental chambers, and safety systems.
What you will do
* Follow planned schedules to minimize downtime for calibration, maintenance, and upgrades.
* Diagnose and resolve faults using methodical problem-solving techniques.
* Adhere to company procedures and documentation to meet quality and regulatory standards.
* Provide auditable documentation and reports supporting calibration, maintenance, and safety tasks.
* Volunteer for shift work and on-call support as needed; a premium is paid for this work.
* Work onsite exclusively in Plymouth.

Education and Experience
* Experience with equipment/instrumentation.
* Knowledge of electrical/electronic principles.
* Experience in a time-sensitive, safety-critical, highly technical environment.
* Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, and a team player.
* Effective communication skills and workload prioritization.
* HNC/D or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic engineering.
* Flexibility and commitment to meet equipment uptime goals and support manufacturing and engineering teams.
