Senior Electrical Testing Engineer Location: Cookstown Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Generous & Negotiable An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Testing Engineer to lead a high-performing Testing & Inspection team within a growing engineering organisation. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee all testing, inspection, and commissioning activities for control panels, both in-house and on client sites. Acting as the technical lead for your team, you will ensure all work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of Testing & Inspection Technicians. Oversee and perform testing and commissioning of electrical control panels (in-house and on-site). Plan and execute FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) procedures. Liaise directly with clients to address technical queries and ensure satisfaction. Work closely with Contracts Managers to coordinate testing activities and meet project deadlines. Carry out electrical fault-finding and ensure issues are resolved promptly. Oversee NIC/EIC testing and maintain adherence to ISO Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards. Mentor and develop junior technicians, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of all testing and inspection activities. Essential Criteria 2395 or equivalent Testing & Inspection Certification. Significant hands-on experience in Testing & Inspection, ideally within the water, wastewater, or process engineering sectors. Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring technical teams. Strong electrical diagnostic and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and database systems. Ability to work independently under pressure and deliver to deadlines. Full UK driving licence. Experience using ACC docs, BIM360, or similar systems would be advantageous.
