Rugby Borough Council is committed to community and colleague growth. We prioritize wellbeing and personal development, offering a range of career opportunities where you can take pride in the positive changes you help create. Join an organization dedicated to the success of one of the country's fastest-growing boroughs and its people.
About the role
Do you want to make a difference? You have an exciting opportunity to join our Regulatory Services section within the Environmental Health Team. You will deliver quality services on issues that are often complex and impact quality of life.
As part of the Environmental Health Team, you will also be involved in wider activities including air quality. Environmental Health Officers and qualified Environmental Protection Officers will be expected to deputise and support the management functions of the Environmental Health Team Leader.
About you
We seek a motivated professional (either an Environmental Protection Officer or an Environmental Health Officer) skilled in using powers under environmental protection, food safety, and health and safety legislation.
Our outgoing officer had expertise in air quality, contaminated land, and wider Environmental Health functions (including planning, licensing, and LAPPC permits). While ideally, we would recruit a similarly qualified EHO, we understand current market challenges. We welcome applications from recent Environmental Health Graduates or EPOs working towards full EHP registration. If you're passionate about environmental protection and eager to grow your career in a supportive, forward-thinking team, we want to hear from you.
A full driving license is required.
