Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials including 2-30mm Thick Steel. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. The successful applicant will be responsible for welding components and ensuring that all products meet our stringent quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring precision and quality in all welds
* Utilise TIG welding techniques when necessary to achieve specific project requirements
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for fabrication tasks
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to understand project requirements
* Assemble components according to engineering specifications, maintaining accuracy throughout the process
* Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control measures
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Experience
* Proven experience in MIG welding; additional experience in TIG welding is advantageous
* Familiarity with local welding standards and practices specific to
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
* Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment related to fabrication processes
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks
* Experience working with sheet metal is preferred, along with a solid understanding of assembly processes
