A top-tier regulatory team in Manchester is continuing to grow and is looking to recruit an ambitious Solicitor with ideally 1 PQE+ to join its highly regarded practice.
Depending on the candidate, there is a possibility they will consider an NQ.
This is a standout opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes matters for major organisations, including FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies, often with national and international significance.
Gain exposure to the most complex, high-profile regulatory cases
You will be part of a specialist team advising clients on serious regulatory and criminal matters, including corporate manslaughter investigations, HSE prosecutions and inquests.
The work is varied, fast-paced and impactful — often involving incidents that attract significant scrutiny and require strategic, commercially focused advice.
Your role will include
* Advising on health & safety, environmental and corporate manslaughter cases
* Supporting or leading inquests and regulatory hearings (depending on experience)
* Drafting witness statements and legal submissions
* Reviewing evidence and preparing cases for trial
* Attending interviews under caution and court hearings
* Liaising with key regulators including the HSE, CQC, Police and other authorities

More about you
* Qualified Solicitor
* Experience in regulatory, health & safety, criminal or motor crime work (desirable, not essential)
* Strong drafting, analytical and client-facing skills
* Interest in building a career in regulatory defence and investigations
* Proactive, motivated and able to work in a collaborative team
