Job Opportunity: Senior Support Worker
Join our team to make a positive impact on children's lives in Tiverton. Support children with social and emotional needs related to Autism, ADHD, or Trauma in our small homes, working 2-3 days per week (10 shifts per month).
Salary: £28,080 based on 40 hours/week, plus £6,183 for 10 sleep-ins/month. Total package up to £34,263.

Role Overview
As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead shifts, support the Registered Manager with recruitment and supervision, and help children enjoy activities like trips to Tiverton Adventure Park, skating, trampolining, or the beach. Your support helps children thrive despite their challenges.
Typical Responsibilities
* Assist with recruitment, supervision, meetings, and inspections.
* Support children's quality of life through activities and daily routines.
* Ensure safety and appropriate plans for each child, maintaining accurate records.
* Participate in an on-call rota, averaging 1 week per month, with additional allowance.
Candidate Requirements
* Patience, compassion, resilience—especially with trauma-affected children.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Driving licence to facilitate community outings.
* Flexibility to sleep at the home during shifts.
* Ideally, a qualification in residential childcare within the first 2 years of employment; training provided if needed.
