Multi drop Delivery Driver
Pay: £180 day rate
Job description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of goods to various locations. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential.
The majority of deliveries involve standard to light, or very light items. However, some routes such as Swindon and Bristol may occasionally include larger parcels that require heavier lifting. Full training and support will be provided to ensure you are well-prepared for all delivery types.
Responsibilities
* Operate a delivery van safely and efficiently to transport goods to assigned locations.
* Own phone
* Load and unload parcels, ensuring items are handled with care and delivered in good condition.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding delivery times, updates, and any potential delays.
* Maintain accurate delivery records, including signatures, notes on discrepancies, and proof of delivery.
* Conduct regular vehicle checks to ensure it remains in safe and reliable working order.
* Comply with all traffic laws and follow company policies and procedures at all times.
* Provide support in the warehouse when required, including loading, unloading, and handling returns.
* Follow established procedures for processing undelivered items and returns in a professional and timely manner.
* Applicants must have access to their own small, medium, or large van suitable for parcel delivery. While the company does not provide or arrange rental vehicles, individuals are free to rent a van independently if they prefer.
* Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points (no major endorsements)
Experience
* Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
* Ability to handle lifting and moving parcels as required by the role.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
* Previous experience in multi-drop or courier delivery roles is preferred (e.g., Amazon, DPD, Yodel).
