Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established, international consultancy delivering complex infrastructure and marine projects across the UK. This role will focus on a major ferry terminal and marine infrastructure upgrade at Holyhead, a strategically important UK–Ireland transport hub. The programme includes significant marine works, terminal enhancements, land reclamation, and infrastructure upgrades designed to improve capacity, resilience, and operational efficiency.
You’ll play a key role in the commercial management of this high-profile project, working closely with the client, contractors, and wider project team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide full commercial and cost management support across the project lifecycle
* Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, forecasts, and cashflows
* Draft, review, and administer contracts (NEC-based experience preferred)
* Manage change control, variations, and compensation events
* Undertake risk management, value engineering, and cost control activities
* Assess interim valuations, payments, and final accounts
* Provide clear commercial reporting to senior stakeholders
* Support procurement strategies and tender evaluations
About You:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on infrastructure, marine, ports, or civil engineering projects
* Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (NEC experience highly desirable)
* Confident working in a client-facing role and managing key stakeholders
* Able to work independently while contributing positively to a wider project team
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* Working towards MRICS or equivalent (desirable, not essential)
