Job Description

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 14:00 - 18:00, 20 hours per week.
As a Laboratory Technician you will complete, to the required quality standards, the analysis of food samples for a given method using laboratory techniques.
1. Registration, preparation and analysis of samples as required.
2. Adhering to documented procedures for all aspects of laboratory work, ensuring that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded, that samples are handled correctly.
3. Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed throughout the day
4. Maintain turnaround time at >99%, ensuring that daily targets are achieved.
5. Ensure personal protective clothing equipment is worn in accordance with the Health & Safety policy.
6. Maintain a clean as you go mentality
7. Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
8. Be available for overtime as and when required.
Qualifications
9. Previous experience within a Lab is not required. Full training will be provided.
10. Educated to GCSE Level.
11. Experience in working in part of a team.
12. Good organisation and time management.
13. Good communication skills.
14. Able to self-motivate.
