Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Band 7 Medical Physiotherapist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering specialist physiotherapy interventions to individuals receiving care within mental health settings. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to enhancing the overall well-being and functional independence of our service users.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for individuals with mental health conditions, focusing on rehabilitation, mobility, and pain management.
2. Provide evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to address musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional impairments, incorporating a multidisciplinary approach to care.
3. Collaborate closely with medical and allied health professionals to coordinate and integrate physiotherapy services into holistic care plans.
4. Monitor and evaluate treatment progress regularly, adjusting interventions as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes and promote recovery.
5. Provide education and support to service users, families, and caregivers regarding injury prevention, self-management strategies, and community resources.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome measures in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
7. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
8. Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a practicing physiotherapist.
9. Specialized training and/or experience in areas such as musculoskeletal rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, or pain management.
10. Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with individuals with mental health conditions.
12. Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
