Description Domestic Support Assistant Jewel House Care Home Salary: £24,796 - £25,041 (pro-rata for part-time) Hours: up to 36 per week, 52 weeks Social care is a challenging and rewarding career. Paid experience in a laundry or cleaning service. (Desirable) Previous experience in a care setting. (Desirable) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDING: Interest in Older People. Ability to communicate with a range of individuals. Basic literacy skills. Interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of Health and Safety guidelines eg COSHH, manual handling. Understanding of the needs of older people. (Desirable) Understanding of the need to protect vulnerable adults. (Desirable) Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control.
