Job Description:
A highly regarded national broker is currently looking to add an experienced Commercial Account Handler to their established team in Birmingham. They seek a driven and motivated professional with previous commercial insurance experience to support the needs of a diverse and interesting group of Commercial clients.
The Account Handler will support the Account Executive in managing the client portfolio, including setting up all necessary actions for contract renewal.
The Account Handler is the first point of contact for external queries and issues, requiring skills and knowledge to meet client expectations.
This is a hybrid position with 2 days/week in the office.
About the role:
* Deliver high-quality and efficient service to clients.
* Work closely with Account Executives to provide a comprehensive insurance service to mainly existing and some potential new customers.
* Manage clients of various sizes, from smaller to large corporate risks.
* Ensure all documentation related to placing, amending, or renewing insurance programs is completed accurately and promptly.
* Contribute to maintaining a professional, competent, and customer-focused company image.
Key skills/experience required:
* Previous account handling experience within a commercial insurance environment and relevant technical knowledge.
* Good communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and process large amounts of information quickly.
* Influencing and negotiation skills.
* Willingness to pursue CII qualification is supported but not essential.
