What You'll Do
As Chair of the Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding public funds, promoting transparency, and ensuring robust governance across TfGM. Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee with integrity and independence
• Overseeing financial stewardship, risk management, and assurance frameworks
• Supporting the Executive Board in delivering the Mayor's transport strategy
• Championing public sector values and ethical governance
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone with:
• Senior leadership experience in finance, audit, or risk—ideally within the public or regulated sectors
• A track record of chairing boards or committees with strategic impact
• Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills
• A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and public service values
Professional qualifications (e.g. CIPFA, ACA, ACCA) are desirable, but not essential.
