Job Details
Job Title: Technical Production Manager
Reporting to: Managing Director
Responsibilities
* Lead formulation development for new and existing products, from concept to scale‑up.
* Oversee day‑to‑day factory operations and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity, maintain quality and reduce costs.
* Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing issues quickly and effectively.
* Implement and monitor production KPIs relating to output, waste, quality and efficiency.
* Ensure full compliance with relevant EU & US cosmetic, toy and chemical regulations.
* Maintain and update all technical documentation, including batch sheets, specifications, BOMs and safety files.
* Work closely with product development, production and buying teams to ensure smooth product launches.
* Liaise with suppliers and external labs regarding materials, testing and compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong experience in formulation and production management within cosmetics, personal care or chemical manufacturing.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills related to formulation behaviour, batch variability and raw material performance.
* Proven track record in process improvement, scale‑up and troubleshooting.
* Confident communicator able to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and lead technical discussions.
* Exceptional organisational and leadership skills.
* Sound knowledge of relevant EU & US Cosmetic Regulation, Toy Safety Directive, REACH and CLP (Preferred).
* Degree or HNC in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or Chemical Engineering (Preferred).
* Experience with automated pressing, mixing, blending or filling machinery (Preferred).
