Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual to produce and coordinate the content for some of our annual industry-leading conferenceswhich are unique and unmissable for the energy sector, bringing together over 2,000 attendees each year.
Joining our Oxford office, you will take the ownership of the event agenda, working with Aurora’s senior management to define everything from overall event concept/topical focus right through to the theme for specific sessions and line-up of speakers. As part of the role, you will also be in charge of securing sponsorship for those annual events.
You will coordinate the content for these events from initial planning through to running the event on the day and post event activities, including coming with suggestions for topics & speakers, coordinate speaker participation, helping with publicising the event, making sure that everything runs smoothly on the day from a content point of view, following up with various stakeholders post event. The role will also involve coming up with original ideas for our events and continuously working to improve our events strategy.
As part of your tasks, you will also take the content ownership of our Energy Unplugged Podcastwhich includes coordinating and aligning on topics together with Aurora hosts, planning and working with our podcast producer to release a weekly episode, working with the Marketing team to increase uptake and success of the podcast, exploring various partnerships and taking the podcast to the next level.
You will be a valued member of our Commercial/Events team, reporting to the Events Manager, and working alongside colleagues of all levels. This multifaceted role requires strong grasp of the energy sector to effectively shape our conferences and podcast to fit the interests and needs of our audience, consequently contributing to Aurora's growth and success in this vibrant industry.

Key Responsibilities
* Produce and coordinate the content for Aurora’s high profile and market-leading conferences and work with Aurora’s senior management to define topics and line-up of speakers.
* Draft event and session descriptions and work with the Events & Marketing teams to promote the events via various channels.
* Coordinate external speakers in line with the topical focus of the event, including acting as main contact point, providing details of the event, collecting headshot pictures & bios, potential support with booking briefing sessions with Aurora speakers/moderators, answer any request the speakers might have and make sure they have a great experience during the day.
* Develop partnership concepts for the events and acquiring sponsors, come up with ideas for new sponsors.
* Orchestrate all necessary activities from a content point of view during the day.
* Follow up with various stakeholders post event and contribute to the event highlights by coordinating the collection of summaries for the various sessions that will be included in the highlights pack.
* Coordinate the content for our Energy Unplugged Podcast, define the topic agenda together with Aurora hosts, planning and working with the podcast producer and Aurora hosts to release a weekly episode, refining the positioning of the podcast, working with the Marketing team to increase uptake and success of the podcast and explore various partnerships for the podcast.
* Contribute with original ideas to constantly improve our events & podcast strategies.
What we are looking for
Required attributes:
* Good understanding of the energy industry mainly in the UK and Europe, and ideally across the globe
* Experience in coordinating the content agenda of events
* Ability to create marketable session descriptions and agendas
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a range of activities effectively to deadline and under pressure
* Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize in a fast-paced and demanding environment
* Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with senior-level executives
* Enthusiastic team player with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and wider stakeholders
* Good PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills
Desired attributes:
* An extensive network in the energy industry in the UK and across Europe
* Demonstrated success in business events content coordination
* Experience with project management tools (i.e Asana) and event platforms
