Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Communications and Marketing Coordinator within the Communication, Engagement and Involvement team. The role involves supporting campaigns to promote Wales as a leader in health and care research.
The successful candidate will communicate key messages to industry partners, clinical leaders, the NHS, and the media, managing communication with our research community. The role requires excellent communication skills, a positive and flexible attitude, motivation, and enjoyment of working in a busy team environment.
Main duties include:
* Highlighting the impact of health and social care in Wales through campaigns and stakeholder engagement.
* Organising events, delivering campaigns, and supporting creative, data-driven content.
* Ensuring effective communication tailored to target audiences in various formats.
* Supporting the planning and delivery of events, conferences, and workshops.
* Protecting and developing the Health and Care Research Wales brand.

Person Specification
Qualifications: Degree in PR, communications, marketing, or relevant experience; knowledge of external communications, online engagement, event management, design techniques, and campaign development.
Experience: Public-facing communications, collaborative work, campaign development, and digital/social media expertise.
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, social media proficiency, ability to communicate complex information, creative thinking, relationship building.
Other: Motivated, flexible, professional development-oriented, willing to travel within Wales and the UK, adaptable to demand.
