You’ll work as an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, bringing expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to customers, wherever they are—from driveways to office car parks. You’ll be supplied with an RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit to start from day one. What you’ll do
* Serve customers on driveways and in various locations, delivering first-class mobile maintenance and diagnostics.
* Perform servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks; manage stock; complete reporting; and maintain open customer communication.
* Represent the RAC with pride in every interaction and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Operate with independence while meeting company standards and safety requirements.
What you’ll need
* Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
* At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
* A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
Hours and compensation
40 hours per week with core hours 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays. Base salary £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000. A guaranteed overtime option can increase base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
