Employee Relations Consultant - 1 Year Fixed Term Contract - £55k - £60k - Glasgow/Edinburgh
Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh (Hybrid)
Contract: 12‑month Fixed Term Contract
Our client, a major UK utilities organisation, is looking to bring on an experienced mid-senior Employee Relations Consultant on a 12‑month fixed term basis to strengthen its Employee and Industrial Relations capability.
The role will support a complex, unionised environment, with a strong focus on ER/IR advisory work, collective bargaining arrangements, and effective engagement with joint trade unions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert advice across a broad range of employee relations and industrial relations matters
2. Support and contribute to collective bargaining processes, pay negotiations, and formal consultations
3. Work closely with HR and senior stakeholders to manage complex and sensitive ER cases
4. Build and maintain constructive relationships with trade union representatives
5. Ensure ER activity is compliant with employment legislation, internal policy, and best practice
