About The Role
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated IT Security Analyst to join our IT Security team in managing and enhancing cybersecurity across our UK and US operations.
This role involves assessing alerts and threats, conducting investigations, engaging in proactive threat hunting, and collaborating with infrastructure and development teams for threat remediation. You will also work with security partners to maintain a strong security posture and create technical and procedural documentation to guide remediation efforts and improve security protocols.
The office is based in Barton-Upon-Humber. There are opportunities for hybrid/remote work, but applicants must be able to reliably commute to the office when required.
Main responsibilities:
1. Monitor and analyse security alerts using various tools and technologies.
2. Experience with EDR platforms is advantageous.
3. Conduct investigations and proactive threat hunting using multiple information sources.
4. Enhance the security posture of UK and US operations, recommending and implementing security measures.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant security policies and regulations.
6. Familiarity with ISO and NIST frameworks is advantageous.
7. Prepare and present security reports regularly.
8. Coordinate with infrastructure and development teams for threat remediation.
9. Stay updated on cybersecurity trends and threats, engaging in ongoing professional development.

About You
Desired skills and knowledge:
* Experience in incident handling, managing incident response, and investigating targeted threats such as APTs, organized crime, and hacktivists.
* Background in computer forensic analysis using various forensic tools.
* Understanding of system internals for implementing countermeasures across systems like macOS, Windows, Linux, and Android.
* Ability to create remediation plans for targeted attacks.
* Scripting experience in languages like PowerShell, C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby, and .NET.
* Strong multitasking, communication, and project management skills.
* Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST CSF.
* Cybersecurity certifications like Security+, CSA, SC-900, CC, CySA+, GSEC are beneficial but not mandatory.
* Familiarity with tools like Zscaler, Mimecast, CrowdStrike, SIEM, Cisco, Microsoft Defender, Azure, AWS, Cloudflare, Jamf.
