The Senior Finance Officer role is key to coordinating the day-to-day financial functions of Watts Gallery Trust and supporting the Head of Finance and Resources in the effective management of the Trust's finances.
We are looking for someone with experience in a finance function delivering comprehensive financial management, ideally within a charitable organisation. Experience in the arts, gallery, and museum sector would be an advantage but is not essential. You should have thorough knowledge of VAT and Payroll and experience using Sage. If you are adaptable, a good communicator, and enjoy working in a busy finance environment, we would love to hear from you.

Key Duties:
1. Financial Management
2. Assist in preparing financial forecasts, implementing policies, maintaining financial records, and producing management accounts.
3. Support in preparing budgets, monitoring performance, and producing trading data.
4. Assist with year-end accounts and audits, ensuring records are clear and compliant.
Financial and Administrative Duties:
1. Manage banking, payroll, pension administration, statutory returns, VAT, Gift Aid, and control accounts.
2. Enhance systems and controls for financial management.
3. Coordinate cashing up, reconcile accounts, and support strategic planning and grant applications.
Staff Management
1. Monitor and support finance staff development and oversee daily finance team operations, ensuring accurate processing and excellent service.
