We are a friendly and well-established GP practice with excellent patient feedback, and were looking for a professional and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive, patient-focused practice where your role will truly make a difference to the community. The successful candidate will be required to work the hours over 3 days ( Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
Main duties of the job
Main Responsibilities:
Booking, amending, and cancelling appointments using our clinical system
Responding to patient queries and requests efficiently and with care
Processing repeat prescriptions and supporting other admin tasks
Handling incoming correspondence and supporting clinicians with admin duties
Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Experience with clinical systems such as EMIS is an advantage, but full training will be provided.

Job responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
Answering and dealing with telephone enquiries and booking suitable appointmentsfor patients.
Manage patient queries in a timely, efficient and professional manner
Signposting patients to the correct clinician and/or service
Work with confidential and sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality at all times
To ensure high levels of accuracy are maintained in all aspects of work.
Liaise with clinical staff, GP's and management to meet patients needs.
Process administrative tasks associated with the role upon receiving full training
Other duties as requested by the Reception Supervisor, Practice Management or GP's.

Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
* GCSE Mathematics & English (C or above)
Experience
* Experience of working with the general public
* Experience of administrative duties
* Experience of working in a health care setting/GP practice
