Duties
* Operate punch and drill machines to create precise holes and cut-outs in sheet metal components.
* Perform grinding and finishing tasks to ensure smooth edges and surfaces on fabricated parts.
* Conduct welding operations as required, adhering to safety and quality standards.
* Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts, ensuring correct fit and alignment.
* Use hand tools and tooling equipment to manipulate, shape, and finish sheet metal components.
* Apply basic mathematical skills to measure, mark, and verify dimensions accurately.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality expectations.
Requirements
* Proven experience in fabrication, grinding, welding, or related mechanical work.
* Strong knowledge of sheet metal handling and fabrication techniques.
* Proficiency with hand tools, tooling, and basic assembly processes.
* Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of manufacturing equipment and safety procedures.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately.
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
