In this role, you support upskilling the entire business in category data and insight, take ownership to regularly report on Spirit category and brand performance, and establish trusted partnerships with our internal teams across the wider B‑F organisation.
What You Can Expect
Category Insights
* Proactively translate data into actionable insights and recommendations that will help grow the Spirit Category and B‑F Brands to inform category strategy, range decisions and commercial planning.
* Support the Senior Category Manager to build annual joint business plans that meet objectives of internal and external stakeholders, whilst supporting the ongoing tracking, management of plans and future developments.
* Champion B‑F’s Category Vision and collaborate with your colleagues to ensure it remains relevant as the foundation for JBPs and Customer Marketing Activations.
* Connect shopper, consumer, brand and category to create powerful insights that give our customers a competitive advantage.
Cross Functional Collaboration & Development
* Partner cross‑functionally to champion the category in the development of new initiatives and products.
* Foster a mindset of positivity and a One Team mentality to work collaboratively with colleagues across all functions.
* Collaborate with your colleagues in the Category & Commercial Strategy Team and Sales Functions to create and deliver actionable insights to drive category growth.
Business Development & Processes
* Support the Sales Team as they develop key initiatives to position the business for sustainable value growth within the Internal Commercial Planning Process.
* Responsible for the Category Reporting Process across all Channels.
What You Bring To The Table
* Experience: 1–2 Years FMCG Branded Product Experience in Category Management; either Agency or Branded Manufacturer Side. Ability to work with a broad range of consumer, category and shopper research and sources of data (Nielsen/CGA, Dunnhumby, SIP, Kantar and etc).
* Influence & Analytics: Possesses a highly analytical foundation, strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to influence stakeholders through the effective use of data‑driven insights and sophisticated storytelling.
* Communication: Strong storytelling, communication and presentation skills which engage and persuade key stakeholders, both externally and internally.
* Collaboration: A strong team player with a track record of building effective working relationships. Excellent ability to communicate and influence - strong listening, presentation and storytelling skills; gravitas to put research into business terms and persuade colleagues and external stakeholders with the insights provided.
* Technical Skills: Advanced statistical analysis and excellent knowledge of Excel, used to bring together multiple data sets.
