We’re on the lookout for a proactive and hardworking SEO & Content Assistant, eager to jump into the type of high-growth, dynamic environment that comes with being in a startup. You’ll be a key player in our growing marketing team, supporting Tembo’s overall content marketing strategy to drive huge growth in both our mortgage and savings app business. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of growth potential for those who can get stuck in and learn fast (we want to know you’ll thrive in a startup!).
Job requirements:
* A genuine passion for SEO and content marketing, with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
* Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills, with a creative approach to content creation.
* Analytical edge and eye for detail. You feel comfortable interpreting data, testing, tweaking and improving to drive results.
* You can manage multiple priorities - whether it’s tracking email performance, optimising blog content or coming up with new creative ideas.
* “Can-do” self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Genuine passion for everything SEO-related. Have you gone out of your way to broaden your SEO knowledge? Do you keep your finger on the pulse of what’s happening in SEO?
* C2 or Native level English language skills
* Portfolio of blog or professional writing examples.
Preferred (but not essential!)
* A degree in English Literature, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
* Experience in writing SEO-optimised content, including keyword research, competitor analysis and long-form content creation.
* Experience in utilising AI to speed up content production, research etc.
* Experience with digital marketing tools like Google Analytics.
* Experience with SEO and content marketing tools like SEMRush, Ubersuggest, Ahrefs
* Experience with CRM tools like Customer.io
Key Responsibilities:
* SEO Optimisation: Improving the performance of website content through keyword research, competitor analysis and content improvements
* Content Creation: Develop compelling content for various marketing channels, including email newsletters and website content.
* Customer Comms: Create and optimise customer communications and targeted messaging, including reviewing performance, testing message variants and improving existing communications
