We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to be based at:
Location: 1 Stockport Exchange, 20 Railway Road, Stockport, SK1 3SW
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum
About the Role
This is a full-time, static role where you will take ownership of electrical and building services maintenance at a high-profile office building within Stockport Exchange, supported by a wider mobile team when required.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on electrical systems
Respond to reactive maintenance tasks and ensure timely resolution
Support wider building services (HVAC/mechanical knowledge beneficial)
Manage and coordinate contractors working across the buildings
Build and maintain strong relationships with the on-site client
Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and site protocols
Provide clear communication and updates to senior stakeholders
Maintain accurate records of work completed and site activity
Additional Details
Static role with a company vehicle available if you opt into the on-call rota (1 in 4 weeks)
If not joining the on-call rota, the vehicle benefit is excluded
You'll be the sole engineer on-site, so being proactive, reliable, and confident is essential
The site is high-profile, so professional presentation and communication are a must
What We're Looking For
Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, 18th Edition preferred)
Proven experience in electrical maintenance or facilities management
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems (with HVAC/mechanical awareness desirable)
Comfortable managing contractors and liaising with senior clients
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and take initiative
