Air Conditioning Installation Engineer
Location: North East (Nationwide Travel Required)
Salary: Up to £43,000 + Overtime + Company Benefits
A leading UK building services contractor is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled AC professional who enjoys varied installation work, nationwide travel, and delivering high-quality projects across commercial and critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning
*
Install a range of AC and refrigeration systems including split systems, VRV/VRF, AHUs, chillers, and close control systems.
*
Carry out full commissioning, testing, and project handover procedures.
*
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
*
Oversee and coordinate sub-contractor activity where required.
Compliance & Safety
*
Work in line with F-Gas regulations and relevant industry standards.
*
Maintain clear, accurate installation and commissioning documentation.
*
Follow site safety protocols, RAMS, and company procedures.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Essential
*
F-Gas Category 1 (2079) certification
*
Strong proven background in AC installation
*
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
*
Experience working within critical environments (e.g. data centres)
*
Understanding of BMS/controls
*
IPAF / PASMA certifications
*
Safe isolation competency
