About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity within a multi-billion turnover business based near Reading. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can come in and just add value!!
Key Responsibilities:
* Support with balance sheet accounting and assurance.
* Manage all statutory accounting and reporting
* Oversee systems and process transformations
* Lead compliance, risk management, and controllership
* Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
* Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasts, and variance reporting
* Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements
* Research and resolve technical accounting issues
* Lead month-end and year-end close processes
* Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting
* Manage tax filings and compliance with reporting requirements
* Develop and document business processes and accounting policies
* Take ownership of balance sheet controls, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations, and identifying and addressing any discrepancies
* Implement processes to enhance the efficiency and reliability of balance sheet management and reporting
* Assist in building a high-performing finance function
* Build reports and manage data sets using Excel
Requirements:
* ACA Qualified or equivalent with strong academics
* Proven experience leading a sizable finance team
* Strong background in financial reporting, balance sheet control, and financial processes
Your Profile:
* Fun, people-centric individual with a passion for financial accounting
* Comfortable commuting to the outskirts of Reading 2-3 days a week
Competitive daily rate of £450-£500, commensurate with experience
