Excellent opportunity for anyone fluent in MANDARIN with recent experience as a Network and Security Engineer or with 5 years in this specialist field seeking their next step. This is a corporate banking role requiring a specialist for installation, support, and maintenance of network infrastructure and security frameworks, assisting the network and security manager with the administration and maintenance of the bank's IT networking equipment, including support of network equipment and the head office network.

Salary: up to £75,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
* Security Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM), investigate alerts, logs, incidents, and assist in response and remediation.
* Vulnerability Management: Conduct assessments, support penetration testing, collaborate on patching and risk mitigation.
* Network Access Control (NAC): Configure switches, endpoints, and troubleshoot Cisco IP Phone/IPC services.
* Network Administration: Configure user switches, perform health checks, and provide after-hours support on a rotational basis.
* Compliance & Collaboration: Ensure security standards, coordinate network checks, liaise with global IT teams, document processes, and communicate controls.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science (preferred)
Experience: Minimum 3 years in IT support (network/security/IP telephony)
Technical Skills:
* Experience with OSPF, BGP, STP, NAC, and IPT (Cisco)
* Proficiency in network monitoring, NDR, SIEM systems
* Knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and patch management
Soft Skills:
* Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
Working Conditions: Flexibility for after-hours/weekend support during incidents
