Role and Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
* Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure using cutting-edge Azure technologies.
* Ensuring data quality, performance, and reliability through automated testing, monitoring, and documentation.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust data solutions.
* Driving continuous improvement by staying up to date with emerging trends and tools in data engineering.
* Contributing to agile ceremonies including stand-ups, refinements, and retrospectives.
Essential Skills and Experience
We’re looking for someone with:
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to simplify complex ideas.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in dynamic environments.
* Proficiency with SQL Server in high-transaction settings.
* Experience with either C# or Python/PySpark for data tasks.
* Hands-on knowledge of Azure cloud services, such as Databricks, Event Hubs, and Function Apps.
* Solid understanding of DevOps principles and tools like Git, Azure DevOps, and Terraform.
* Versatility in working across a wide range of data technologies and solving engineering challenges.
* Strong grasp of data governance, quality assurance, and security best practices.
