About the Role
As an Account Director/Senior Account Director you’ll be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of pharma and life sciences clients. You’ll ensure seamless delivery of our services, anticipate client needs and collaborate closely with internal teams to drive operational excellence. This is a role for someone who loves structure, communication and making complex programmes run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the trusted partner and primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service, proactive communication and long-term relationship development.
* Manage project timelines, deliverables, budgets and expectations across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
* Plan and co-ordinate the delivery of projects to agreed operational standards, within defined costs and timelines.
* Translate client needs into actionable plans for operational, data and scientific teams.
* Collaborate with external partners, vendors and subcontractors required for project delivery.
* Act as the central point of coordination across internal teams, clients and external providers.
* Monitor project performance, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
* Maintain clear, accurate and consistent project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
* Ensure projects adhere to industry regulations, market research standards, SOPs and quality frameworks.
* Oversee quality assurance processes and associated documentation.
* Ensure clients receive timely information, deliverables and support, addressing concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
* Prepare and deliver client presentations, status updates, project reports and performance summaries for clients and senior management.
* Support commercial growth through identifying new opportunities, renewals and strategic account planning.
* Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients and support broader business development activities.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to strengthen internal processes and ways of working as the company grows.
What You Bring
* At least 3-4 years’ experience in pharmaceutical services agencies including Medical Communications, Clinical Research Organisations, Real-World Evidence and Patient Engagement companies.
* Strong client‑facing communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects with precision and calm.
* A structured, analytical mindset.
* Comfort working cross‑functionally with scientific, operational and commercial teams.
* Although not essential, a scientific background to degree level is desirable.
* High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* A proactive, solutions‑oriented approach.
