We are looking for an Agriculture Director to support growth in the South West of England, South Wales or Cambridgeshire. The role requires local residence in one of these areas and regular travel across the region. Hybrid working is available with quarterly office visits.
Responsibilities
As an Agriculture Director you will maintain and grow an existing portfolio of business, upholding and expanding our agricultural presence in the region. You will review opportunities for business growth, collaborate with the Agricultural Sector Leadership Team, and work with the wider team to optimise income and return on equity. You will also remain aligned to our risk appetite, ensuring compliance and minimizing exposure to bad and doubtful debt.
Qualifications
- A passion for, and experience of, working in the UK agricultural market
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and build lasting relationships with customers
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, including Excel financial modelling, and the ability to interpret financial statements and due diligence reports
- Strong organisational and project management skills with high standards of customer service and attention to detail
- Capacity to cope with complex situations, tight deadlines and to adapt flexibly to challenges and problem solving
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience engaging with the local professional community
- Understanding of risk and compliance requirements relevant to the role
- Ability to travel to meet customers across your region with ease
