The IT Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our IT services, with a special focus on Microsoft on-premises infrastructure, VMware administration, Microsoft 365 migration, Veeam backup solutions, and storage technologies.

The client
An organisation within the charity sector. They have a small team of 5 engineers covering IT Support, System Admin and management of the organisations IT Infrastructure. The IT team are headquartered at Newtownards but they have offices and staff across Northern Ireland.
Criteria for the IT Infrastructure Engineer position
*The hiring team are not focused on years of experience. It does not matter if you have 20 years or 2 years of experience, they are looking for experience and capability in the below:
15. Foundation Degree in IT or higher
16. Experience of Cicso Meraki
17. Experience of VMware, vSphere, and vCenter management
18. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory etc
19. Experience of migrations to Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint, Office, Teams, Intune)
20. Experience using Veeam for backup, recovery etc
21. Strong knowledge of storage systems such as SAN, NAS, DAS
22. Good foundation of understanding in network architecture (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and firewall configuration
23. Good foundation of understanding in network security
24. Driving Licence and access to own car
