This is a well-established school that is at the heart of its local community that supports pupils from EYFS - KS4 with an array of profound needs that include specific learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders, profound and multiple learning disabilities, visual impairments, and more. Your new roleAs a teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis with an array of complex needs. You will be based within KS3, supporting the class teachers to promote a stimulating and engaging learning environment, but will at times be asked to support within other key stages. As you will be working with multiple varying needs that include ASD, LD, non-verbal, visual impairments, etc, you will be required to take a pupil-centred approach to education as to ensure that the individual needs, emotional state and personalities of each pupil are not only met but at the heart of all operations.
