We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority in Gloucestershire, who are recruiting for a Homeless Triage Officer on a temporary 3 month contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is up to £27 per hour. The ideal candidate will have experience with Locata and have an understanding in Part VI decisions. The role is fully remote but will require you to get equipment on your first day. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Conducting initial assessments of people presenting as homeless or threatened with homelessness. Determining the level of need, vulnerability, and risk, including safeguarding concerns. Assessing eligibility for housing assistance under relevant legislation and local policies. Providing housing advice, homelessness prevention support, and information on available services Maintaining accurate case records and documentation. Monitoring client progress and ensure follow-up actions are completed. Responding to urgent situations involving rough sleepers, domestic abuse survivors, or vulnerable individuals. Ensuring compliance with housing, safeguarding, and data protection legislation. Developing personalized housing and support plans.
