Position
Senior Clinical Fellow in Organ Donation, Adult Critical Care at Nottingham University Hospitals – 12‑month placement commencing August 2026.
Responsibilities
* Participate in on‑call duties on the Senior (Airway) Critical Care rota (approximately 50% of time).
* Lead trainees and fellows out of hours under the Duty Critical Care Consultant on‑call.
* Provide clinical duties at Queen’s Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital.
* Develop a specialist interest in organ donation and clinical research, with a substantial project planned before starting and aimed for publication or presentation.
* Engage in regular appraisal, learning plan and portfolio development.
* Maintain compliance with the EWTD and keep a logbook of experience.

* Paid time is granted to develop an interest in organ donation.
Qualifications
* Full or limited registration with the GMC.
* Minimum of two years’ post‑Foundation training.
* Possession of Primary FRCA or equivalent (e.g., MRCP(UK), MRCEM).
* One year of anaesthetics experience and at least three months of critical care experience essential.
* Prior experience working within the NHS required.
* Commitment to a 12‑month placement and to cover adult critical care approximately 50% of the time.
