Bramwith Consulting is seeking a Senior Buyer to join a market-leading Civil Infrastructure & Utilities company at the forefront of growth and investment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading procurement activities within a strategic procurement function, supporting large-scale infrastructure projects with a focus on energy and utilities. This role requires strong commercial acumen, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement skills, with industry experience in large strategic procurement projects related to energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute end-to-end procurement processes for networks, including facilities management and major infrastructure projects related to energy and utilities.
2. Manage the tender process: oversee sourcing, present recommendations, and justify decisions.
3. Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment with procurement and business planning, and defining tender scopes.
4. Create and manage RFPs, negotiate with suppliers, and lead bid evaluations and shortlisting.
5. Drive commercial value through influencing and negotiation to support contract awards with robust terms.
6. Review suppliers, procurement processes, and costs, including benchmarking and data analysis.
7. Ensure compliance with standards and policies, promote continuous improvement, and incorporate lessons learned.
8. Serve as an internal and external procurement expert and advisor.
Key Requirements:
1. Knowledge of procurement regulations, including Public Contracts Regulations (PCR) and related laws.
2. Proven procurement experience at Senior Buyer level or higher, for large-scale, multinational, or cross-functional utilities, facilities management, or infrastructure projects.
3. Expertise in strategic sourcing and category management, with experience in negotiating complex, high-value procurements.
4. Strong project management skills, with experience in reporting and delivering procurement projects related to facilities management, construction, and infrastructure.
