INSTRUMENTATION & ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN We are delighted to be recruiting a skilled, proactive and professional Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join our Hampshire based clients. Working as part of their maintenance team, supporting the smooth operation of production and gas plant facilities across their sites. You'll play a key role in ensuring critical instrumentation, control, and electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably therefore helping to keep the plant running smoothly 24/7. An excellent package is on offer in line with industry standards and experience plus excellent benefits including, Call outs are paid at 5 hours base rate plus minimum of 5 hours at x 1.5 base rate (Monday to Friday) or x 2.0 base rate for weekends and Bank Holidays. 25 days holiday allowance, 10% Company pension contribution, group life assurance 8 x salary, group income protection, Gym Allowance £600/year Key responsibilities for the Instrumentation & Electrical Technician include, Carrying out routine and non-routine maintenance on a wide range of process control and electrical equipment Servicing and calibrating instrumentation such as transmitters, controllers, and analysers Supporting vendor maintenance activities and assisting during installation and commissioning of new facilities Performing equipment isolations and ensuring all maintenance is completed safely and in line with procedures Liaising with contractors, vendors, and colleagues to ensure maintenance tasks meet the highest standards Participating in a 24-hour call-out rota, providing technical support for plant breakdowns Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and promoting a safe working environment The ideal Instrumentation & Electrical Technician will need the following, 4-5 years' hands-on maintenance experience in instrumentation and/or electrical systems, ideally in the chemicals, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, energy, or process industries Qualifications: Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (Instrumentation or Electrical), with solid understanding of both disciplines Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Proactive and able to prioritise tasks effectively Confident working independently and as part of a multi-skilled team IT literate, with a diligent and reliable approach Familiarity with oil & gas operations or hazardous area working would be advantageous Flexibility as some weekend, evening, and bank holiday work will be required as part of a call-out rota Full UK driving licence and own vehicle essential Why Join?
