Registered Mental Health Nurse (Band 6)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Stewartry Community Mental Health Nursing Team on a fixed term basis for 6 months until 26th October 2026.
The post holder will work with people who present with moderate to severe mental health issues, providing assessment, support, advice and interventions to enable recovery and sustained wellbeing. You will work closely with patients and carers and link with colleagues across the health and social care partnership and other sectors. Excellent communication skills, compassion and the ability to develop strong therapeutic working relationships are vital.
Responsibilities
* Deliver clinical assessment, support, advice and interventions to patients with moderate to severe mental health issues.
* Collaborate with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams across healthcare, social care and independent sector.
* Demonstrate strong therapeutic relationships and effective communication.
* Apply leadership skills and make clinical decisions in pressured situations.
* Participate in supervision, mentoring and ongoing training.
Qualifications and Experience
* Active Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification and NMC registration (pin).
* Experience working with people with mental health disorders.
* Experience in a clinical team working environment with safe and effective assessment.
* Leadership abilities and clinical decision-making experience.
