A specialist school in Salford is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (SEMH) to join their committed team supporting children with Autism and complex behaviour needs. What You'll Be Doing
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Autism and behavioural needs.
* Help deliver personalised learning programmes tailored to each child's EHCP.
* Support emotional regulation, social interaction, and sensory needs through structured activities.
* Implement positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to promote pupil wellbeing and progress.
* Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where pupils can thrive.
What You Need
* Experience supporting children or young people with Autism and complex behaviours (school or care setting).
* A patient, calm, and resilient approach to supporting challenging situations.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport.
* Commitment to promoting inclusion and positive outcomes for every learner.
