Job Summary: To become an integral part of the PowerGen Technical Support team, providing technical support across all aspects of Rolls-Royce Solutions power generation products and associated balance of plant. Responsibilities include supporting sales solutions, aftersales, and parts inquiries, with potential involvement in wider PowerGen activities. The primary products include Diesel, Gas power generation, mtu KPP, and Battery Energy Storage Systems, with a willingness to learn emerging products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote a zero harm culture by ensuring all HSQE requirements are met.
* Provide excellent customer liaison and fulfill technical support requests.
* Support sales, aftersales, and end-user technical needs across electrical, mechanical, and controls aspects of the product range, for UK, Ireland, and overseas.
* Maintain technical documentation and project files.
* Design, build, test, and commission control circuits as needed.
* Record tasks accurately in the CEC platform.
* Lead and follow up on technical issue resolution.
* Contribute to development and review of work instructions, processes, and spare parts database.
* Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
* Develop method statements and support risk assessments.
* Engage with internal teams and external clients, including site visits and customer testing.
* Support training programs and develop new technical solutions.
* Continuously improve technical skills and processes.
* Provide technical support to the service team, including site visits when necessary.
Person Profile: Enthusiastic individual with good communication skills, capable of working independently and in teams. Must have mechanical and electrical experience, be willing to travel within the UK & ROI, and possibly overseas. The role is office-based with some travel, requiring discipline and high standards.
Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office; training on Rolls Royce Solutions software (SAP, C4S, CCC, MTU Go Care, etc.) will be provided.
Requirements: Full UK driving license, UK passport, fluent English, strong data analysis skills, and relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience. Willingness to work towards professional registration.
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time, mid-senior level, in the industrial machinery manufacturing industry.
