Working Foreman (Carpentry Bias)
The Company Our client is a well-established main contractor specialising in the delivery of high-end residential refurbishment and bespoke fit-out projects across Prime Central London. Their portfolio includes luxury houses, listed buildings, apartments, and complex refurbishment schemes valued from 500k to 2m+.
The Role Reporting to the Site Manager/Project Manager, the Working Foreman will play a key role in managing site operations while maintaining a hands‑on approach where required. The successful candidate will come from a strong carpentry background and possess extensive experience delivering high‑specification residential refurbishment projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordination of carpentry and finishing trades throughout the project lifecycle.
* Conduct quality inspections and manage snagging processes.
* Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
* Assist with material scheduling, deliveries, and logistics.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience as a Working Foreman, Finishing Foreman, or Site Foreman.
* Trade‑qualified carpenter with a strong carpentry/joinery background.
* Strong understanding of luxury finishes and bespoke joinery installations.
* Experience working within occupied properties and client‑facing environments.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Valid CSCS Card.
* SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.
