Job Title: 1:1 Tutor – English, Science & Maths (Corby Area)
Location: Corby and surrounding areas – sessions held in students’ homes or local libraries
Hours: Part-time / Flexible
Pay: Competitive hourly rate, paid weekly through PAYE
About the Role:
TP Tutors is looking for passionate and dedicated educators in the Corby area to make a real difference in children’s lives. You will work one-to-one with students, delivering high-quality English, Science and Maths sessions to help them achieve academic goals, build confidence, and improve engagement. Many students receive support outside mainstream school settings, offering a rewarding opportunity to create meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and evaluate 1:1 tutoring sessions in English, Science and Maths.
* Support learners with SEND, SEMH, and additional needs using a child-centred approach.
* Apply effective behaviour strategies to keep students motivated and focused.
* Track progress and provide constructive feedback to guide next steps.
Requirements:
* Professional teaching qualifications preferred (QTS or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of English, Science and Maths.
* Experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one – support provided).
