The role of the data analyst is to manage and coordinate data collection and analysis within peritoneal malignancy, supporting service development, research, and reporting requirements.
This involves identifying, analyzing, and correcting data quality issues, and engaging with the department to safeguard data integrity.
The post holder will work within the department to ensure access to high-quality data for audits and research, and collaborate with the management team to produce regular and ad hoc reports to accurately present and forecast activity.
Additionally, the post holder will design, implement, and maintain departmental data structures and databases, perform routine data submissions, and carry out routine and ad-hoc queries.
The role includes supporting service improvement through access to quality data, maintaining data structures, fostering collaborative working, and supporting performance reporting and information analysis to meet departmental objectives.
This position supports the delivery of a high-quality, professional information service for operational, resource management, and business planning purposes.
