We're looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager who can lead with confidence and help shape the success of a major blue‑chip customer start‑up launching in January 2027. This is a unique chance to step into a high‑profile operation from the early stages of the project — supporting UAT testing, contributing to project start‑up activity, and helping us build a best‑in‑class automated warehouse. If you're a proactive, people‑focused leader with a real passion for logistics and enjoy working closely with customers during critical launch phases, we want you on our team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Support the Launch: Play an active role in UAT testing and project start‑up activity before go‑live, helping prepare the operation for a successful transition into steady‑state.
* Lead the Team: Provide strong, motivating leadership during the start‑up phase and continue supporting your team through daily warehouse operations once the site is live.
* Work with Automated Systems: Engage with automated warehouse technology throughout testing and into business‑as‑usual, ensuring systems run safely, accurately and efficiently.
* Ensure Safety: Embed safety and compliance from the early project stages and maintain the highest standards across all live operational shifts.
* Drive Operational Performance: Contribute to stabilising performance pre‑go‑live and, once operational, monitor KPIs and champion continuous improvement across the shift.
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
* Have previous experience with UAT testing (preferred, but we are open to seeing those without it.)
* Have strong operational knowledge of logistics and warehousing
* Have a strategic mindset and a passion for problem-solving.
* You're a natural leader with excellent communication skills, able to inspire and engage your team
* Bring a proactive approach and a commitment to delivering high operational standards
