Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Hilton Salary: Competitive, based on experience Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity to take ownership of financial and commercial aspects of construction projects? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team, where you’ll play a critical role in ensuring financial control, commercial performance, and the effective management of sub-contractors. Key Responsibilities: Take full commercial responsibility for allocated contracts, including estimating, cost control, and monthly valuations. Prepare accurate forecasts of project cash flows and cost/value reconciliations. Procure and manage sub-contract packages, including negotiation, placement, and performance evaluation. Liaise closely with Contracts Managers, Site Agents, and the wider commercial and operational teams to ensure work is delivered on time, on budget, and to the required standard. Assist in the delivery of tender gross margins and ensure prompt and correct handling of contractual matters. Monitor and reconcile material and labour usage against budget. Represent the company professionally with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Mentor and support Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyors to develop their skills and capability. You’ll Need: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or civil engineering sectors. Strong understanding of commercial and contractual processes. Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively across teams. Excellent negotiation, communication, and financial reporting skills. Familiarity with integrated management systems and a strong safety mindset. A proactive and professional approach to work and client interaction.
