Role Overview:
We are looking for a Junior Narrative Designer to join our Firesprite studio to help craft the player’s journey on a AAA branching narrative adventure. Working alongside the Narrative Design Team as well as Writing and Game/Level Design teams, you will assist in marrying immersive storytelling with phenomenal game design.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to learn their craft as a narrative designer. You will help our narrative team craft content, create lore and process data in order to ensure the foundations of our game are strong.
Ideally, we would love individuals to be based in the studio for 1-3 days per week, but we will consider those who have a preference for remote working in the UK.
What you'll be doing:
* Work on the creation of lore, clues and other items that form part of our game world.
* Work with Level and Game Design to implement narrative content.
* Ensure that script and other narrative elements are parsed accurately for subtitles and localisation.
* Aid with implementation and upkeep of gameplay dialogue.
* Help craft the wider lore of the game.
* Help maintain and write narrative documentation and designs.
* Creation and maintenance of storytelling deliverables for external analysis.
What we're looking for:
* Ideally 1 year of games industry experience working in a games team.
* Good content writing skills.
* Hands-on experience using UE5 or similar game engines.
* Strong urge to learn and absorb information.
* A knowledge of script software such as Final Draft is beneficial.
* A knowledge of Articy or similar industry standard branching narrative tool is beneficial.
* Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
