Job Description
You will be responsible for:
* Lead store operations, bringing energy and vision to create a memorable shopping experience.
* Utilize eye for design and style to curate donated products with visual merchandising, enhanced displays, and strong commercial windows to drive sales and footfall.
* Keep up to date with fashion trends and local market demands, identifying opportunities for growth.
* Manage staff and volunteers, including recruiting, training, supporting and ensuring effective store operation.
* Coach volunteers and staff in customer engagement, encouraging upward sales and promoting charity donations and loyalty schemes.
* Ensure sales targets are met and direct costs stay within budget.
* Oversee financial reporting, cash handling, daily banking and security procedures.
* Ensure donated goods are processed according to set standards and timeframes, with pricing aligned to charity guidelines.
Key Criteria
* Solid retail experience, preferably in fashion/clothing.
* Experience managing a team; volunteer management an advantage.
* Comprehensive understanding of retailing and merchandising displays.
* Experience in cash handling and financial management procedures.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑first attitude.
* Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
* Understanding of health and safety procedures in a retail environment.
Requirements
In this role you will have sole responsibility for the running of the store, which will involve lone working. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
