Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and submitting SDLT returns and Land Registry applications following completion of commercial property transactions.
* Liaising with the Land Registry, HMRC, clients, and other solicitors to progress registrations and resolve requisitions.
* Managing and monitoring key post-completion deadlines, including diarising priority dates.
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all documents are properly saved and filed according to the firm’s protocols.
* Supporting fee earners with administrative tasks related to completions, such as preparing completion statements and dealing with undertakings.
* Assisting in the preparation of post-completion reports for clients and lenders.
Candidate Profile:
* Experience in a similar role within commercial or residential property law.
* Strong knowledge of SDLT and Land Registry processes, including requisitions.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple matters.
* Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach.
* Proficiency with legal case management systems and online portals (e.g., Land Registry, HMRC).
* Proactive, team-oriented, with a positive attitude.
