We are hiring a new hospitality lecturer and lead IQA to work with us in the Hospitality and Professional Cookery department. This is a new post, joining our team of 3 chefs/front of house lecturers.
Our Hospitality and Professional Cookery department is based at Infirmary Road, but at times you may be expected to work at different places including at community projects. The team generally work in the day, but our restaurant is open on a Thursday evening and staying late on other evenings is always a possibility.
The role will include working with students on Entry level 3 up to L3 courses and you may also have the role of personal tutor. You will also lead on our IQA and ensuring standardisation and quality across the department.
We are a friendly department. We help each other out, to deliver the best service we can to all staff and students.
To do well in this job, you should have experience of working in industry, as well as a teaching environment. You should have experience assessing work and working with students aged 16+ and have vocational competency in front of house and professional cookery.
